The Alfa Romeo Giulia had an enormous impact on the motoring world in it’s run in the 60’s and 70’s, making a name for Alfa as innovators of style and speed. The fabled Italian car maker revealed the new classic today at the Alfa Museum on their 105th anniversary and it truly is a thing of beauty.
Under the long bonnet, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio has an aluminium, turbocharged V6 engine designed by Ferrari. With 380kW of power on hand, the new sports sedan has a claimed 0-100km/h time of just 3.9 seconds. The new Giulia sedan is available with a number of driving modes, including Dynamic, Natural and Advanced Efficient, while high performance models will also be equipped with a Racing mode.
The company has yet to reveal the Giulia’s interior, but performance models will be fitted with a steering wheel kitted out with Formula One-style knobs and switches.
Although pricing and specifications have yet to be announced, the Giulia is expected to go into production late this year, with right-hand drive models slated for either the end of 2016 or early 2017.
