It started way back in 1962 with the birth of the very first Marshall amp. It grew louder on a festival stage in upstate New York during the summer of ‘69. Now Marshall are pumping up the volume in your pocket with their new Android phone – The Marshall London.
The new Marshall London has all of the traditional Marshall trappings, like the grainy textured finish of the iconic amps. But the music-oriented theme goes deeper than aesthetics. You adjust volume with a wheel, just like you did on your old Walkman. And like the original Walkman, way back in the ’80s, the London has two headphone jacks so you can listen to tunes with a friend. The finishing touch is an “M” button, which takes you straight to the music.
Marshall are all about the music, so the London comes equipped with a Wolfson WM8281 Audio Hub. This soundcard gives the London a separate processor for music, allowing it to play at a higher resolution. Other sound features include a custom equaliser, built-in dual microphones, a DJ app and LoopStack, a 4-channel recorder that allows you to record four tracks independently.
The London has been priced at $590 for an expected delivery of August 21st.
