Australian apparel brand, Parca Equipment Co. has launched their Winter 2015 range; From the Wood to the Hood. Taking inspiration from the natural world around us, Parca Equipment Co. produces high quality threads that fit in and perform on the trails as well as they do on the streets.
Having visited Denmark and Norway recently, Creative Director Morgan Schoermer (formerly Australian brand manager for Herschel Supply Co., Mr Simple and Rains) followed the lead presented to him by the stunning Nordic landscape, and moulded it into stylish and rugged apparel designs.
Schoermer describes the range as an amalgam of heritage work wear, vintage outdoor and classic sports/street wear. Applying a contemporary filter to these styles, Parca Equipment Co. has created a range that feels authentic and timeless.
The pallet used throughout From the Wood to the Hood is predominantly dark; blacks, navy and fatigue green. The centrepieces of the ParcaEquipment Co. range are the jackets. However, Morgan considers the Civvi Mac Coat in particular to be his personal favourite. A bonded shell gives the jacket a unique silhouette, shaping it in a grand and almost menacing way.
Parca Equipment Co. came to be from a desire to create garments that were equal parts functional and stylish. Combining vintage and modern outdoors influences, with a contemporary street aesthetic, Parca is a brand for those who appreciate the world around them.
